MEDIA CENTER

The Bardstown Middle School Library Media Program seeks to create a 21st century environment that promotes learning for all students by providing equitable access to information, teaching information literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong learning. The Library Media Center strives to be a center of collaborative learning that produces creative students who have an appreciation of literature, critical thinking skills, and a respect for others and self.

In order to help minimize foot traffic in the hallways, the library staff will deliver reserved books to students during the school day.

To reserve a book, it’s as easy as 1-2-3. Simply go to the BMS Library online catalog here, or visit the BMS website, select “Library Media Center” on left-side of the page, and then scroll down to “Atrium.” Once you are in the catalog, click the red “Log On” button on the right. Your log-in information is the following:

Username: firstnamelastname
Password: bms

Search the catalog. Once you have found a book you would like, click on the title, then select the red “Reserve” button and follow the prompts. When you are logged on, you will also have the opportunity to make book suggestions for future orders.

Mrs. Cahoe will receive a notification that you would like the book checked out in your name. You can pick it up in the library or Mrs. Cahoe or Ms. Leonard will deliver it to you.

Happy reading!
