Arrival Procedure for Car Riders
BMS doors open for car rider drop off beginning at 7:45am. Car riders should be dropped off in the parking lot of the Bardstown Polytechnic Center, located off of Tiger Alley. From there they will walk to the cafeteria entrance where they may choose to eat breakfast. Car-riders with a necessity to arrive early will be allowed to enter at 7:45 AM and will report to the cafeteria. No student should be on campus unattended prior to 7:45AM. At 8:00am, homeroom classrooms will be opened to students. Breakfast will be served until 8:30am. Students choosing to eat breakfast must eat breakfast prior to reporting to homeroom. Students need to be at school and in their 1st Period class by 8:30am.
Dismissal Procedure for Car Riders
Bardstown Middle School officially dismisses at 3:25 PM each day. At dismissal, car riders and walkers should exit the building next to the cafeteria and report to the car rider parking lot to be picked up by their parent/guardian or to walk home. Bus riders should exit using the main entrance, immediately boarding their buses. Unless students have a school-related reason for staying on campus after school, all students should leave the school grounds at the time of dismissal.
